This book, a collection of scores by Waikato-based composers, pays homage to the grand piano by using black stock for the cover (printed in white & gold), red stock fly pages, and multiple white stocks for the internal pages. Each score includes a QR code linking to an audio recording of the piece. These QR codes are positioned at the beginning of the text – a tribute to Renaissance drop caps and the music of the fifteenth-century composers. Although printed on a modest budget, Gravitas Media pushed the boundaries of digital print, creating a premium result, as evidenced by the book winning Gold in the 2024 Pride in Print Awards.
