The theme for this suite of reporting documents was ‘Alumination’, a play on the word ‘illumination’—which in this context represents; shedding light on sustained results, strength, and positive positioning for future activity. The Annual Review document uses a half-cut wraparound flap on the cover which opens to reveal further messaging. The title appears in a metallic foil as homage to the company’s primary function—mining bauxite (used to make Aluminium). The overall design also showcases the company’s recent brand refresh making maximum use of clean, bold, easy-to-read layouts embellished with a distinctive colour palette. In addition, the documents deliberately employ a landscape format to maximise screen space for those who did not have the printed version.
